Welcome

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Port Jefferson, New York. I received my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, where I also had 1-year of postdoctoral training as a psychology fellow on the child, adolescent and family therapy track. I was an Adjunct faculty member for several years at Adelphi where I taught courses such as Developmental Psychology Through the Lifespan and Personality Development.

In my practice I work with adults, adolescents, and children . I have extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, complex trauma, chronic and acute stress. I have additional training and a special interest in psychological development throughout the lifespan; adjustment, anxiety, and mood disorders; problems of conduct and oppositionality in children and teens; sexual behavior problems in teens; and working with families. I also greatly enjoy working with those who are seeking out therapy as an outlet for self-exploration and discovery, as well as those who are looking to create meaning in their life.
